Crook County Circuit Court
also known as Oregon Judicial Department, 22nd Judicial District
About Crook County Circuit Court
The state trial court for Crook County, part of the Oregon Judicial Department's 22nd Judicial District, which it shares with Jefferson County. It hears civil, criminal, family, small claims, landlord-tenant, traffic, and juvenile matters and runs treatment programs such as Recovery Court and Wellness Court.
Volunteering looks like
Volunteer mediators help settle small claims and landlord-tenant cases after free training in mediation skills and the court system, in exchange for mediating cases regularly for a year; no particular education or job background is required. Volunteers can also serve on the Crook/Jefferson Citizen Review Board, reviewing the cases of children in foster care, after a background check, interview, and orientation.
