Who Can Volunteer

Volunteering for Oregon Health Plan Hours

Starting in 2027, some adults on the Oregon Health Plan (OHP) will need to show 80 hours a month of work, volunteering, caregiving, school, or job training. Volunteer hours count when they're part of an organized program at a nonprofit or public agency that keeps track of your hours and can confirm them if asked. Political or partisan activities don't count. Every organization listed on this page has specifically told us that it tracks volunteer hours and can provide verification of them. This is not a complete list: other organizations in the directory may track hours too. Whether an organization is listed here or not, contact it before you start to confirm it can verify your hours in the form OHP asks for. Organizations that track and verify volunteer hours can ask to be listed here by emailing support@volunteercentraloregon.org. For the full rules, exemptions, and help, see the Oregon Health Authority at oregon.gov/oha/hsd/ohp/pages/federal-changes.aspx or call OHP at 800-699-9075.
