Crook County Library
About Crook County Library
The public library for Crook County residents, run by Crook County from a facility in Prineville built in 1999. It offers books and digital materials, year-round programs including summer reading, school services, and countywide outreach, and it shares resources with libraries across Central Oregon.
Volunteering looks like
Volunteers support library staff in roles matched to the library's current needs, each with a written position description and a consistent schedule. Volunteers apply, interview with the volunteer coordinator, and consent to a background check. Book sales and the kids' store are run by the separate Friends of the Crook County Library.
