Volunteer opportunities in Sisters, Oregon

Sisters Folk Festival

About Sisters Folk Festival

The Sisters Folk Festival is a three-day, multi-genre music festival held each September in Sisters, where "All the town's a stage." Founded in 1995, it brings more than 30 artists from around the world to seven stages throughout downtown, from Village Green Park and Sisters Art Works to the Belfry, the Sisters Depot, and local saloons, redefining what "folk" means. Presented by SFF Presents, the festival's proceeds support year-round music and arts education in Sisters.

Volunteering looks like

Hundreds of volunteers run the festival across its seven venues, in roles like door and gate staffing, accessibility ambassadors, bike valet, artist hospitality, merch sales, and set-up and take-down. Many roles involve standing, walking, and some lifting. Volunteers who work two festival shifts (about 8–10 hours) earn an all-events wristband for the weekend. Ages 16–17 can volunteer with a signed parent or guardian waiver.
