About Shared Future Coalition
The Shared Future Coalition is a cross-sector coalition in Deschutes County working to prevent youth substance misuse. Bringing together parents, young people, schools, healthcare, law enforcement, and other community partners, it empowers youth through inclusive engagement, community education, and policy, with a focus on underage drinking, cannabis, tobacco and vaping, prescription drug safety, and impaired driving.
Volunteering looks like
Community members join the coalition as partners, from parents, young people, and educators to businesses, faith communities, healthcare, law enforcement, and seniors, helping assess local needs and carry out prevention projects, community education, and policy work. Youth voices are central to the coalition's approach.
