About Oregon Community Foundation
Oregon Community Foundation is Oregon's statewide community foundation, managing donor funds and directing grants and scholarships to nonprofits and students across the state through regional offices, including Central Oregon's office in Bend. At the City of Bend's request, OCF opened a Rapid Response Fund focused on Bend after the Oct 15, 2026 Silver Rail Elementary shooting, working with local partners on short-term needs.
Volunteering looks like
Volunteers help guide local giving: reviewing community grant applications from their own region, serving on scholarship advisory committees, advising community funds, and serving on regional leadership councils. Training is largely online, with report-out meetings at the regional office in Bend.
