About Native Bird Care of Sisters, Oregon
Native Bird Care is a wild bird rescue, hospital, and sanctuary near Sisters, serving all of Central Oregon. It specializes in songbirds, woodpeckers, waterbirds, and shorebirds, species often overlooked at larger facilities, and rehabilitates injured and orphaned birds for release back to the wild. The all-volunteer nonprofit also teaches the public how to protect and support native birds, and runs entirely on donations.
Volunteering looks like
Native Bird Care is 100% volunteer-run and welcomes help. Volunteers support the rescue's work caring for injured and orphaned wild birds and its public education, and many projects can be done from home. Contact the rescue through its website to find out what help is needed.
