About Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation, Inc.
The Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation (MBSEF) is a Bend nonprofit that develops young mountain athletes through year-round Alpine, Nordic, freeride, and cycling programs. It grew out of the Skyliners, Bend's first ski club, and works to keep competitive snow sports affordable through scholarships and travel grants. Its annual Skyliners Ski Swap is one of its largest fundraisers.
Volunteering looks like
Volunteers help with everything from office tasks to events and races, which keeps program costs down for young athletes. Roles include race crew for alpine and Nordic races and event help at the Skyliners Ski Swap and the Pole Pedal Paddle. Sign up through MBSEF's online volunteer calendar, where race shifts and big-event shifts are posted in the weeks beforehand. Questions go to events@mbsef.org.
