About Kiwanis Club of Bend
Bend's Kiwanis club, recently rechartered after a long history in the city (Bend's Kiwanis Park is named for its 1980s contribution). Members are neighbors who volunteer together to improve the lives of kids and families across Central Oregon, with a focus on hands-on service, mentoring youth leaders through Key Club, and supporting local children's nonprofits. Meets Thursdays at noon.
Volunteering looks like
Members and guests take on hands-on projects for local kids and families, such as serving at The Giving Plate, cooking at the Ronald McDonald House, packing welcome boxes for foster kids, and supporting Central Oregon Baby Resources. The club also mentors the Key Clubs at Caldera High School and Trinity Lutheran. You're welcome to join a project or a Thursday lunch meeting before deciding to become a member.
