Volunteer opportunities in Bend, Oregon
Horner Cycling Foundation
About Horner Cycling Foundation
Founded by retired pro cyclists Chris and Megan Horner, the foundation runs a free, inclusive junior road cycling team in Central Oregon, with weekly coached training, a loaner bike library, team kits, and race support so kids from every background can ride and race. It also produces the revived Cascade Cycling Classic Downtown Criterium in Bend as its signature fundraiser.
Volunteering looks like
Volunteers make the Cascade Cycling Classic Criterium happen through course marshalling, course setup and teardown, and race-day support, and can host visiting racers in their homes. Experienced riders and mechanics can also help with junior team rides and keep loaner bikes road-ready.
