Volunteer opportunities in Central Oregon

Gentle Lion

About Gentle Lion

Gentle Lion is a faith-based Redmond nonprofit that has spent more than seven years calling men to become better husbands, fathers, and brothers. Men from all walks of life meet every Tuesday at 7 a.m. for the Gathering at the Lion's Den, with hot breakfast, real talk, and study, and the organization also offers retreats, classes, and Gentle Lioness classes for women. It is a free resource for community partners, including the Veterans Administration.

Volunteering looks like

At Gentle Lion, the men who come are the volunteers. Regulars pitch in informally, helping set up and cook the Tuesday breakfast, welcoming newcomers, helping with retreats, classes, and events, and supporting the men beside them. The easiest way to get involved is simply to show up to a Tuesday Gathering.
