Volunteer opportunities in Prineville, Oregon
Crooked River Roundup
About Crooked River Roundup
The Crooked River Roundup is Prineville's signature summer event, a week of PRCA professional rodeo and pari-mutuel horse racing at the Crook County Fairgrounds each June that draws more than 450 contestants from across the country. A stop on the Columbia River Circuit, Roundup week also includes the Roundup Parade through downtown Prineville, celebrating the Western heritage of the Cowboy Capital of Oregon.
Volunteering looks like
A volunteer board and crew put on Roundup week each June, and community volunteers help with gates and ticketing, parking, concessions, the horse races, arena and grounds work, and the Roundup Parade through downtown Prineville. Local rodeo volunteers also help staff the Columbia River Circuit Finals in Redmond each fall.
