Volunteer opportunities in Prineville, Oregon

Crook County Foundation

also known as Crook County Education & Community Foundation

About Crook County Foundation

The Crook County Foundation brings people, resources, and inspiration together for the enrichment of Prineville and Crook County. Founded in 1998 by the City of Prineville, Crook County, the Crook County School District, Crook County Parks & Recreation, and the Prineville-Crook County Chamber of Commerce, it is the county's home for community leadership development, and it funds arts, education, health, and community improvement through grants, awards student scholarships, and sponsors free summer concerts. It hired its first full-time executive director in 2025.

Volunteering looks like

Volunteers help put on the Foundation's free summer concerts and community events, support its leadership development programming for Prineville and Crook County residents, and serve on committees for scholarships and community grants. Leadership program graduates often go on to board and civic service across the county.
