About Central Oregon Nordic Club
Central Oregon Nordic Club brings together cross-country skiers and snowshoers in Central Oregon, and its volunteers help maintain Nordic trails and warming shelters on the Deschutes National Forest in partnership with the Forest Service. It is a partner in the Deschutes Trails Coalition and has worked with Meissner Nordic on public transit to the sno-parks.
Volunteering looks like
Club volunteers keep Nordic trails and shelters ready for winter: stocking shelters with firewood, building and maintaining shelters, clearing and marking ski trails, and helping with signs, bridges, and debris cleanup on the Deschutes National Forest.
