Volunteer opportunities in Central Oregon

Bend Beer Chase

About Bend Beer Chase

Bend Beer Chase is a one-day, 57-mile running relay for teams of one to six, held each spring. The course starts at Drake Park in downtown Bend, runs trails and back roads to Redmond and back, and features local breweries at the exchange points before a riverside beer festival at the finish. Put on by Cascade Relays, it supports local charities through the Cascade Relays Foundation.

Volunteering looks like

Volunteers keep the course running on race day, working 4–6 hour shifts at points along the route between Bend and Redmond. Volunteers register online and sign a waiver before race day. Charity and community groups can also volunteer through the Hire-a-Volunteer program, earning a grant from the Cascade Relays Foundation for every volunteer hour they provide.
