Feed Sisters
October 4–31, 2026
Feed Sisters: Neighbors Feeding Neighbors runs October 4–31, 2026, with a community goal of 5,000 pounds of nonperishable food for the Sisters Kiwanis Food Bank, more than double last year's total. Demand at the food bank has more than doubled in recent years, and every pound and dollar collected stays in Sisters Country. Pick up a bag, fill it with the foods families need most, and drop it off, or make a gift that local matching funds will double. The all-volunteer food bank and the Kiwanis Club of Sisters behind it welcome helpers all year.
Organizations taking part
All-volunteer food bank that has served Sisters-area families for more than 40 years, operated by the Kiwanis Club of Sisters. It uses a client-choice "shopping style" model so families pick the foods they need, and demand has more than doubled in recent years. One hundred percent of donations stay in the community.
The food bank is run entirely by volunteers, who stock shelves, sort donations, and help neighbors shop during weekly distribution hours. Individuals, groups, and businesses can also run food drives, and the annual Feed Sisters drive each October is an easy way for anyone to fill a bag and help.
Serving Sisters Country since 1977 with a focus on youth. The club runs the all-volunteer Sisters Kiwanis Food Bank, awards scholarships to Sisters High School seniors, supports youth and family programs like Circle of Friends, Family Access Network, and Sisters Park & Recreation, and manages a Career Opportunity Fund. 100% of funds raised go to local causes.
Members staff and stock the Sisters Kiwanis Food Bank, and the club runs community events that need lots of hands: the Buckaroo Breakfast at the Sisters Rodeo grounds, the Hoodoo Challenge Run to the Top, and the Make-A-Date raffle. Members also help steer the club's scholarships and youth grants. Meets the first and third Wednesdays at noon.
